Cucumber, Ginger and Lime Water

Cucumbers: a diuretic, high in dietary fiber.

Ginger: gives a feeling of fullness, reduces chance of overeating.

Lime: high in pectin fiber which helps suppress food cravings, cleanse and detoxify.

In a jug put 2 litres of water, then add:

  • finely sliced cucumber, or use a spiraliser – 1 whole small or half a large cucumber
  • about an inch of ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 or 2 whole limes finely sliced or in wedges

I made this when I had leftover lime wedges from a party, Leave in the fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours then strain water and drink! It is so refreshing, plain water will never have the same appeal again, I am completely hooked.
