Cucumbers: a diuretic, high in dietary fiber.
Ginger: gives a feeling of fullness, reduces chance of overeating.
Lemon: high in pectin fiber which helps suppress food cravings, cleanse and detoxify.
Mint: an appetite suppressant, stops food cravings.
In a jug put 2 litres of water, then add:
- finely sliced cucumber – 1 whole small or half a large cucumber
- about an inch of ginger, peeled and grated
- 1 whole lemon finely sliced
- about 14 leaves (2 whole sprigs) of fresh mint
Leave in the fridge overnight or for at least 4 hours then strain water and drink! It is so refreshing, plain water will never have the same appeal again, I am completely hooked.
